Even for audio professionals,
multi - system wireless packages can become complex.
The simultaneous use of radio mics and in ear systems
requires care and attention in the planning stage.
A conversation with one of our staff is often expedient.
Issues of equipment selection, frequency, licensing,
and delivery can be quickly worked through on the
phone. |

Many people ask about the difference
between VHF and UHF, and which is better. They
are simply two separate segments of the frequency
spectrum. Generally we find that VHF is far more
susceptible to interference than UHF. This is particularly
true in urban areas. As most VHF systems are fixed
in frequency, there are few options for solving
interference problems when they occur. UHF systems
operate in a band of the spectrum much less prone
to interference and in addition most are frequency
agile.

In addition
to conventional radio mics we also have systems
that are designed for use with cameras, or indeed
any application where mains power is an issue and
the radio mic system needs to be entirely powered
by batteries. Please go to camera
systems for more information. |

|
| The Link System is a high power
(1 Watt) RF system designed to move signal over
greater distances than radio mics. Useful in a variety
of circumstances, the link will transmit audio signal
or timecode over a range of 1 mile. Both transmitter
and receiver are mains powered and employ dbx noise
reduction. Please go to link
system for more information. |

Every radio system that goes
out of our doors is "walk-tested" around
the building for range and audio performance. If
it doesn't pass the test it doesn't go on hire.
The issues of legality and frequency availability
are ones that we take very seriously. We invest
a lot of time and effort in keeping up to date on
them. You can be sure if you've rented a wireless
system from us that it will be legal and you will
have the benefit of our licences. The rules for licensing
are explained in detail in our FAQ's
page. |
